Why Speak of Art?

Why, indeed.
I am a highly reflective person, and something I am sure of is my passion for art. This covers it all! I see things in an artistic way (or so I am told by my artist friends), and I have a deep, long-standing love of the arts. All genres. Of course, I have my preferences, likes and dislikes, and old favorites that I come back to again and again. However, the one thread that holds it all together for me is my passion for all things artistic. I find that unless someone is an artist, they get easily bored listening to my thoughts about art and food (which if you know me, is absolutely considered by me to be one of the arts). I talk a lot too. It is probably my lack of ability to clearly articulate what I mean to say that has prompted me to sit down tonight and write it all down. Here, on my blog.
I can't imagine who would read it. I can't imagine how long this will last. But, I will go on out of loneliness, sincere interest, and kinda just-because-ness.
